What is the Port Royal Sound Foundation?
The Port Royal Sound Foundation (PRSF) was established to ensure that the pristine beauty of Port Royal Sound in South Carolina is protected for future generations. The foundation works to support research efforts related to this unique environment and to establish partnerships with local stakeholders to further their goals.
The Port Royal Sound Foundation offers research grant requests for proposals.
This grants program will allow the Foundation to support and partner with researchers developing additional information on the waters of the Port Royal Sound; lands and watersheds around the Sound; culture and history of the Port Royal Sound area; and the lives of plants, animals, and humans — past and present — that are an important part of this special place.
The Request for Proposals is open to researchers interested in studying any aspect of the Port Royal Sound ecosystem.
